Both programmes operate in line with applicable British Gymnastics policies, regulations and recognised best-practice guidance.

By registering for, paying for or attending a session, or by taking part in an event organised by the relevant programme provider, you agree to the Terms & Conditions applicable to that service.

The business responsible for your child’s programme is the business you are contracting with for that service.

British Gymnastics Policies & Standards

Our gymnastics programmes follow applicable British Gymnastics codes of conduct, policies and regulations, including where relevant:

All gymnasts must hold the appropriate British Gymnastics membership and insurance required for their participation before attending sessions.

Where membership is required and is not active, the gymnast may not be permitted to train until the appropriate membership is in place.

British Gymnastics membership operates on a rolling annual basis from the date of registration, subject to British Gymnastics' current membership arrangements.

General Participation Requirements

Gymnasts and parents or guardians agree to comply with all applicable programme policies, codes of conduct, safety requirements and payment terms.

​

Jewellery must be worn or removed in accordance with applicable British Gymnastics safety requirements and the rules of the relevant programme.

​

Gymnasts under the age of 16 must be accompanied to and from sessions by a responsible adult.

Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian until they have been safely handed over and registered for their session.

Please do not drop children off in the car park. Responsibility remains with the parent or guardian until the gymnast is safely inside the gymnastics facility and has been signed in.

Parents and gymnasts should understand that gymnastics is a physical sport and carries an inherent risk of injury. Appropriate coaching, safety procedures, equipment and matting are used to reduce risk; however, it is not possible to eliminate all risk associated with participation.

Gymnastics, physical activity or sporting activity must not take place in changing rooms, corridors or other areas of the premises outside the designated gymnastics areas unless specifically authorised and supervised.

Gymnast Development & Progression

Our aim is to support every gymnast in developing appropriately for their ability, confidence and goals.

​

Recreational Gymnastics

Ready to Compete Events may recommend changes to a recreational gymnast’s class or progression pathway where this is considered appropriate for their age, ability, confidence, development or safety.

​

Any changes are subject to suitable class availability.

​

Competitive Squad Gymnastics

Whitehall Gymnastics Club may adjust a competitive gymnast’s training programme to reflect their ability, commitment, development and progress.

​

This may include an increase or decrease in training hours, changes to group placement or other appropriate changes to the gymnast’s competitive programme.

​

Such decisions will be made by the appropriate coaching team with the gymnast’s development, wellbeing and safety in mind.
